OUR HISTORY

Although our name is new, our origin has deep roots in the Edmonton Region. Formerly known as Trans America Group, TAG Developments was founded in 1971 by Eli Adler – a dentist by trade with a passion for real estate development. Over the next 40 years, TAG Developments went on to build or purchase over 2 million square feet of industrial, office, and retail space and develop and sell over 4,250 acres of land in the Edmonton Metropolitan Region.

Although our name is new, our origin has deep roots in the Edmonton Region.

Eli was known for being a visionary. The most notable examples of this vision include launching development of the Acheson Industrial Area and developing the land and buildings east of Broadmoor Boulevard in Sherwood Park. Due to Eli’s leadership and vision, TAG Developments is the largest private land owner in Fort Saskatchewan with over 900 acres of light and medium industrial land in what is now known as Heartland Industrial Park, and one of the largest private land owners in Morinville with 350 acres of residential land being developed into the communities of Notre Dame and Grandin Heights.

Looking Forward

Today TAG Developments remains owned and operated by the Adler family. In 2015 Eli’s son, David Adler, re-committed to the growth of the company by bringing on an experienced and highly qualified team to guide company operations. With its head office in downtown Edmonton, TAG Developments remains engaged and invested in the growth of our region.

The landscape of real estate has changed drastically over the years, and so has TAG Developments. We remain committed to providing customers and tenants with high quality developments that are backed by knowledgeable, professional, and passionate individuals.
